ABOUT THE FLAT
I am writing this review from my personal experience, having lived in the apartment for 15 years.
The flat is Located on the seafront in the Meads which is probably the most sort after area of Eastbourne, and enjoys uninterrupted views over the English Chanel to the South and over Beachy Head to the West, making it one of the most desirable apartments on the seafront, and certainly one of Eastbourne’s best kept secrets!
You will never tire of looking out over the English channel and South Downs… What a view! On a clear calm night with a full moon, you will witness the awe-inspiring view of a cone of light emanating from the moon, hitting the sea and fanning out towards your living room. Later, as the moon moves around you will enjoy a beautiful star lit sky unaffected by the town’s light pollution.
During the day you can gaze out watching the tide ebb and flow revealing the ‘great Eastbourne barrier reef’, well that’s what I call it anyway!
Of course it’s not all about the view. The apartment is only a short walk from the Mead’s village shops and ten minutes to the foot of the South Downs where you can walk to your hearts’ content. 15 minutes the other way will take you to the town centre or the pier, and a 2 minutes walk heading south will get you to the promenade and beach. Quite honestly you simply can’t get a better location. On top of this you have the wonderful Chatsworth Garden’s community spirit which makes it such a happy home.
The flat itself is fantastic. Firstly it’s big, secondly it’s light and thirdly it’s beautiful. I had lots and lots of storage built in so you won’t have a problem putting all your things away.
The master bedroom is very big with plenty of built-in wardrobes, it also has a large bed, a side table and room for a large office table and chair in the corner. The second bedroom is a comfortable double with a built in wardrobe and stand-alone chest of drawers.
The bathroom is great. It has a large corner bath and places for moody candle lighting and a couple of glasses of bubbles! There is also a very large double shower that has excellent flow rate and two shower heads. The kitchen is a galley kitchen and well equipped with washer/dryer and dishwasher.
Finally there is a mains pressure hot water cylinder to provide loads of hot water for your refreshing morning shower. The central heating system is controlled by a bluetooth ‘Nest’ room stat/programmer that detects when you are out of the apartment to save heating and can be switched on and off via a phone app!
PROSPECTIVE TENANT’S
I am looking for a maximum of two non smoking tenants who will be considerate of the neighbours right to enjoy their property without noise or nuisance. They will also need to be ‘house proud‘ and maintain the property to a high standard. Please note that no pets are allowed.
You will need to provide your own bedding, electrical items (TV toaster, kettle, microwave etc) and kitchen pots & pans, plates, cutlery etc.
Tenant/s must be able to either provide written evidence of a minimum 2 years full time employment with the same company, have a suitable guarantor or show proof of financial security and able to provide suitable references.
